• 1971 – Floyd Coates starts American Plastic Molding
• 1980 – Southern Mold and Tool is built on site
• 1997 – APM earns ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems certification
• 2000 – APM adds a new 34,000 sq. ft. building with overhead cranes, moving all molding machines into one area for greater efficiency, quicker setups
• 2001 – APM starts a 5,000 square foot dedicated Assembly area and a shift for Assembly projects
• 2012 – Founder Floyd Coates passes
• 2013 – President Anne Coates establishes the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)
• 2014 – APM earns ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems certification
• 2018 – Anne retires, Alan Myers promoted to Chief Operations Officer
• 2020 – Alan Myers, now with 40 years of plastic industry experience, assumes role of Chief Executive Officer
